Monash IVF is one of Australia’s leading reproductive medicine providers, and this was not a standard commercial fitout. The facility includes an operating theatre, embryology and andrology laboratories, transfer and procedure rooms, a sterile setup room and recovery, so the HVAC specification called for the same technical rigour as a hospital operating suite.

Each critical space is held between 30 and 60% relative humidity, with the operating theatre controlled between 18 and 24°C and the laboratories, procedure rooms and recovery between 21 and 24°C. On the roof, Ascot Air installed the air cooled heat pump chillers, air handling units and associated services.
