Building G-14 Griffith University, Gold Coast Mechanical Services

Ascot Air recently completed a mechanical services project at Griffith University‘s Gold Coast Campus. We worked with Better Build Constructions on the state of the art Laser Printing Labs in Building G14. The laboratories house specialised 3D printing equipment for the Bachelor of Industrial Design program. This includes a furnace room and 3D printing facilities. Greenslopes Hospital

Ascot Air were contracted to carry out the base building upgrade of the Jesse Vasey wing, which involved the refurbishment of the Main Central Zone AHU complete with new Chilled Water Coils, 10 No. Plug fans in lieu of the existing centrifugal supply fan. Other services included 2 x New Perimeter AHU’s commissioned to provide 100% outside air with chilled water pipework, steam pipework, controls and commissioning. We also provided booster pumps to the main chilled water plant in the basement of the Jesse Vasey Wing and room upgrade including Variable Air Volume boxes and controls additions. Redcliffe Cancer Care MBICC

Ascot Air were contracted to carry out the refurbishment of the existing Redcliffe Hospital Cancer Care Building . The project involved works to levels 2, 3 & 4. Particular challenges included the integration of  new VRV Air conditioning system with the existing Mechanical services systems installed over a decade ago, Ascot Air integrated seamlessly with the existing systems and the BMS controls. Caboolture Hospital

Ascot Air were contracted to carry out the new Mechanical installation for the new Caboolture Hospital Emergency Department. The project included the co-ordination of the Mechanical services within the restricted ceiling space, Ascot Air provided a full 3D Model of services to ensure an accurate installation See project

Lutwyche Shopping Centre Redevelopment

Ascot Air have recently secured the mechanical services contract for the above redevelopment of Lutwyche Shopping Centre. The contract has been secured on a D&C basis where are engaged to drive the Mechanical services design to meet client brief. The project involves an upgrade the chilled water plant including new water-cooled chiller, cooling tower, 20 No. Air Handling units including other services. See Project

61 Mary Street – Base Build Upgrade And Fitout

Ascot Air were contracted to carry out the refurbishment and base build upgrade of the QIC building at 61 Mary Street, Brisbane. The contract was secured on a D&C basis where we worked closely with our internal engineering team, Ascot Air engaged consultant and client design team to produce a quality result achieving the required NABERS and Green Star rating. The project involved a base build upgrade of the condenser water system with pumps and new mains riser. Within Five separable portions we then completed a fitout of 17 Floors of the building, upgrading all relevant mechanical services.

University Of Queensland – Forgan Smith Building

Ascot Air were contracted to carry out the refurbishment of the existing West wing of the Forgan Smith building at the UQ St Lucia Campus. The project involved works to levels 2, 3 & 4. Particular challenges included the co-ordination of the Mechanical services within the restricted ceiling space, Ascot Air provided a full 3D Model of services to ensure an accurate installation. 480 Queen Street

Ascot Air have completed a number of successful fit out projects in the 32 Level Premium grade Green Star office building. Working across six individual projects and five principal contractors we have delivered 11 floors of high grade fitout. Particular difference to most other Brisbane high rise buildings was the inclusion of Active and Passive chilled beams incorporating many km of reverse return pipework, controls.
